Be clever, play cunning, and become versed in craps the correct way!

Dice and dice games goes all the way back to the Middle Eastern Crusades, but current craps is approximately 100 years old. Current craps formed from the ancient Anglo game called Hazard. Nobody absolutely knows the birth of the game, although Hazard is believed to have been created by the Anglo, Sir William of Tyre, sometime in the twelfth century. It is supposed that Sir William’s knights wagered on Hazard amid a blockade on the citadel Hazarth in 1125 AD. The title Hazard was derived from the fortification’s name.

Early French colonizers brought the game Hazard to Acadia. In the 18th century, when expelled by the British, the French headed down south and found sanctuary in the south of Louisiana where they after a while became known as Cajuns. When they left Acadia, they brought their favored game, Hazard, with them. The Cajuns streamlined the game and made it more mathematically fair. It is believed that the Cajuns changed the name to craps, which was gotten from the name of the losing toss of snake-eyes in the game of Hazard, referred to as "crabs."

From Louisiana, the game moved to the Mississippi riverboats and throughout the country. A few acknowledge the dice maker John H. Winn as the creator of current craps. In 1907, Winn designed the current craps layout. He appended the Don’t Pass line so players can wager on the dice to lose. At another time, he created the spots for Place wagers and put in place the Big 6, Big 8, and Hardways.
