Craps is a fast-paced game with high-rollers, budget gamblers, and everybody in the middle. If you’re a person-watcher this is one casino game that you’ll want to study. There’s the high roller, gambling with a large amount of money and making loud proclamations when he bets across the board, "$520 across," you will hear him say. He’s the gambler to watch at this craps table and he understands it. They’ll either win huge or lose huge and there is no in between.
There is the low-roller, possibly trying to acquaint himself with the high-roller. He will inform the other players of books he has read on dice tossing and hang around the most accomplished player at the table, all set to confer and "pick each others brains".
My favourite players at the craps table are the true gentlemen from the good old days. These experienced gentlemen are generally steadfast, commonly kind and will frequently share pointers from the "good old days."
There are many other personalities that you will notice around a packed Craps table. When you jump in and intend to participate in the game, make sure you use proper behavior. Locate a space on the rail and place your $$$$ in front of you in the "come" space. Don’t ever do this when the dice are being tossed or you’ll be known as the last personality I wanted to mention, the jerk.
